The UT San Antonio Early Birds Dual Credit Program allows eligible sophomores, juniors, and seniors from high schools across South Texas to earn college credits while still in high school. All Dual Credit coursework counts for both high school and college credit.
All Dual Credit coursework will count as high school as well as college credit. Early Bird students will either attend classes on UT San Antonio campuses or have access to online classes based on course availability and the school's choice of modality, earning credits in highly transferable courses. Every participating student will have the opportunity to experience everything a top tier, research intensive four-year university has to offer.
The Dual Credit program works in collaboration with K–12 districts and internal UT San Antonio partners to ensure the success of participating students. The Early Birds Dual Credit Program implements an innovative model, centered on three primary focuses: student experience, rigor, and college readiness. Our goal is to not only provide the highest quality Dual Credit courses and experiences for our students but also to ensure they gain the skills necessary to go on to successfully apply, attend, and graduate college.
