Bio
Brian Rendell is the Executive Director of University College and an Assistant Professor of Practice in Multidisciplinary Studies and Academic Introduction and Strategies (AIS) at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UT San Antonio).
In this position, he supports daily operations, program development, and faculty and staff support. His core focus is on student success and leadership development, ensuring students gain the skills they need to flourish in school, work, and life.
He leveraged his experience and education in the military to start UT San Antonio’s first veteran-focused AIS course. Additionally, he teaches a course on leadership, which equips students to lead themselves, teams, and organizations.
Prior to his current role, he served in the United States Air Force for 24 years, retiring at the rank of Colonel, and then consulted internationally. During his career, he served in positions spanning business operations, hospitality, logistics, human resources and talent development.
