Bio
Dr. Matthew Miller serves as the Associate Professor of Instruction and Curriculum Coordinator for the Hospitality Management program at UT San Antonio. He brings over 25 years of distinguished hospitality industry experience, including leadership in his family’s renowned Italian restaurant—one of the oldest and most successful in Texas. Dr. Miller’s professional background spans retail, theme parks, hotels, and resort operations. He holds a doctorate in Hospitality Management and Consumer Psychology from Iowa State University of Science and Technology, and his research has been published in top-tier academic journals with a focus on luxury hotels. As an alumnus of UT San Antonio, Dr. Miller is honored to return to his alma mater and is committed to inspiring the next generation of hospitality leaders. Outside of academia, he enjoys fitness, spending time with his pets, exploring new restaurants, and traveling.
