Assistant Professor of Instruction, Academic Introduction & Strategies
Alyssa is a native South Texan and first-generation college graduate. She holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from UT-San Antonio, Class of 2011. Then went on to receive a master’s in administration, and eventually a Ph.D. in education with an emphasis in organizational leadership and a specialty in Adult Learning from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. Her professional career spans from small business, entrepreneurship, corporate America, and most recently the State of Texas Workforce Commission. While she has served in many roles throughout her career it has always led back to coaching, mentoring, career development, and training.
Alyssa is an avid world traveler, foodie, and animal lover.
