Bio
Isra Cheema was born and raised in the heart of Oklahoma. She received her BA in English Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and her MFA in Creative Writing-Poetry from Texas State University. She recently joined the Writing Program at UT San Antonio in the fall of 2025.
In her free time, Isra enjoys writing poetry, reading books, traveling, and spending time with her cats and loved ones.
