The Hospitality & Events Management Program, or HEM, is part of UTSA’s Multidisciplinary Studies Program, which “serves as an incubator for different programs around campus,” said Rebecca Schroeder, interim associate dean of University College and professor of instruction for UTSA.

Niu served as associate dean of the college from 2019 to 2023 and has served as interim dean of the college for the last year.
