Bio

My name is Dr. Tinney Leveridge, and I teach Academic Inquiry and Scholarship 1203 – Exploratory pathway and Academic and Inquiry 1253 – Education pathway. I am excited to be part of your academic journey as we explore different careers and degrees and learn about UTSA resources and campus opportunities.

My background is in Early Childhood Education. I have an undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies specializing in Early Childhood from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, a master’s degree in education from UTSA, and a PhD in Child Development/Early Childhood from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas.

I have taught at UTSA for over 20 years and find working with college students to be very rewarding. Before coming to UTSA, I was a kindergarten teacher in San Antonio, Texas.

I love to spend time with my daughter and granddaughter and enjoy taking care of my three cats and two parakeets. I write children’s books in my spare time and enjoy the outdoors and nature. I especially enjoy going to the beach and collecting seashells.
